| Supervised by a certified Mensa proctor, this battery of two tests is offered at varying times by our local group. The Mensa Admissions Test battery, which takes approximately 1 1/2 hours to complete, is composed of two tests featuring questions involving logic and deductive reasoning. These tests are supervised by a certified Mensa proctor. An applicant who scores at or above the 98th percentile on one of the two tests qualifies for membership. Approximately 60 percent of those who take the Mensa Admissions Test prove to be eligible for membership. The test fee is $40 (U.S.). American Mensa does not test individuals 13 years of age and younger; however, they may submit prior evidence for membership. Mensa also offers a battery of culture-fair, non-language tests. Northern New Jersey Mensa hosts several test sessions throughout the year. To help you prepare for the Mensa Admissions Test, you may wish to take the Mensa Home Test. This self-administered test costs $18 (U.S.) and will be scored by American Mensa’s National Office. To find out when the next proctored test is in Northern New Jersey, you can e-mail our proctor.
